Opio, France
Ref.OP1001
This beautiful retreat is situated in the charming hillside village of Opio near Valbonne. This holiday villa has been completely refurbished and offers new, modern appliances. The villa has 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and the guest cottage has 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The villa is set on 3500 m2 of land and offers room to park up to 5 cars comfortably.
This Provençal stone villa offers a peaceful and luxurious setting with beautiful views over rolling hills out to the Italian Alps from the front garden and very private landscaped gardens around the pool.
This luxury villa offers an open living plan featuring a large living and dining area with a wood-burning fireplace and baby grand piano, a modern, fully equipped kitchen, as well as two outdoor lounge areas for relaxation and entertainment. The home was designed and furnished by a very talented artist who also hand painted all of the ceiling beams in various exotic, intricate designs.
The interior spaces are bright with natural sunlight and are nicely decorated with carefully selected quality, Provençal furniture. With the kitchen, living, and dining areas opening onto the large 100 m2 terrace, this luxurious get away really allows guests to live both indoors and outdoors. The terrace is shaded by a large oak tree and is a wonderful area for al-fresco dining both night and day.
Surrounded by its beautiful mature gardens, wooden doors open out onto the private courtyard of the 70 m2 guest cottage, fitted with its own basin pool and water fountain. The cottage has two private entrances and the courtyard leads to a private pathway that opens onto the beautiful terraced landscaped gardens. The courtyard, swimming pool, paths, terrace and other landscaped areas can all be lit up at night (and the pool and basin are both equipped with child-safety alarms).
Valbonne is located a short 10 minute drive from Mougins, 15 minutes from Grasse, and 20 minutes from Cannes and Antibes. The village of Valbonne is picturesque and has retained much of its 16th century character while still offering a vibrant town atmosphere. Stone house fronts with pastel colored shutters and porches covered in vines and bougainvillea line the narrow streets. Everywhere you turn there are little restaurants and shops. In addition, the town is in close proximity to a number of golf courses, hiking trails, and other outdoor activities. View our proposed itinerary for a week in Valbonne.
