PRAIA DA COMPORTA

Close to the village of Comporta, there is Praia da Comporta, one of the most popular beaches in the Comporta region, and for good reason. The sea is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, making it perfect for swimming. Thanks to the winds in the area, it’s a great spot for kitesurfing. The beach is surrounded by sand dunes and pine forests, providing a peaceful and serene environment for those seeking a day of relaxation and tranquility. For sunbeds and lunch, there is Comporta Café Beach Club. Another lovely spot not to miss at Comporta beach is Ilha do Arroz, a beach restaurant known for its delicious appetizers and cocktails served at any time of the day.

PRAIA DA TORRE

Nestled within walking distance to the west of Torre village lies this hidden gem of a beach. To access it, take the exit of Estrada Regional 2611 that leads west into the village and continue on foot from there, as vehicle access is not permitted. As you make your way towards the beach, relish in the picturesque views of the sprawling rice paddies that extend as far as the eye can see on both sides of the dirt road, spanning roughly half a kilometer. After a leisurely stroll, you’ll reach the dunes that lead to the wild and unspoiled beach, providing the perfect off the beaten path escape. The only nearby restaurant is Dona Bia, which offers a menu focused on fresh and local ingredients, particularly fish, shellfish, and rice, coupled with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and rustic, beachy décor.

PRAIA DOS BREJOS

Comporta’s Praia dos Brejos da Carregueira lies between Praia da Torre and Praia do Carvalhal and is only accessible by car with a pass. The property owners in Brejos have passes and would leave one in the house for you if you’re renting. If you’re on foot, you can reach this beach from either Torre or Carvalhal beach. Praia dos Brejos doesn’t offer any bathrooms, restaurants, or bars, so do not hesitate to bring food and drinks if you intend to spend some time there. It is very peaceful, and many of the beachgoers know each other personally, giving it a private beach atmosphere.
