On a hidden stretch of pebbled beach in Eze-sur-Mer, there are restaurants and bars that line up against impressive cliffs while the sun glistens on the clear blue Mediterranean sea. Anjuna Beach, nestled in this very bay, is the coolest of them all. A relaxed boho ambiance with an eclectic décor – colorful recycled tables and chairs from the islands of the Indian Ocean, brass lamps, suspended dreamcatchers and decorative flamingos – was picked up on the owner’s travels. To access Anjuna Beach, you can either arrive by boat or through a tunnel walkway that will bring you to the pebble beach which you will then need to walk across to get to the restaurant. You’ll know you’ve arrived once you’re greeted with potted palms, blue sun beds, and charming staff.
Anjuna Beach is open from April to September and is quite the hot spot. We would highly recommend making reservations in advance otherwise, you can always enjoy an Apérol Spritz or a chilled glass of rosé as you wait for a table (or a seat at the bar).
The
menu offers something for everyone including fresh sashimi, lobster rolls,
calamari and fish and the highly rated truffle burger. As for appetizers, we
recommend the Caprese salad with burrata, it’s delicious! What better way to
spend a summer day than breathing in fresh salty air, listening to the sound of
the waves, and digging into a plate of seafood?
During the summer months, Anjuna Beach hosts beach parties on the weekends complete with live music or a DJ. Magnum bottles of champagne are carried out, glasses of rosé clink, and diners dance their way into the night.
