S’Aramador

Once awarded the title of the best beach in Europe, S’Amarador is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Mallorca. Tucked on the island’s southeast coast, expect fine white sands and crystal clear waters sheltered by a pine forest as part of Mondrago Natural Park. Shallow waters are ideal for wading, with sun loungers and parasols for rent and a small beach bar for snacks. If wishing for a walk, a 400-metre-long path connects to the neighbouring beach of Cala Mondragó through the tranquil woodlands.

Cala Mondragó

Its tranquil seclusion and natural surroundings make Cala Mondragó a worthy beach destination nearby the town of Santanyí. Officially known as Caló de n’Alis, its white-as-sugar sands and turquoise waters are ideal for snorkelling, with sun loungers and umbrellas for hire to laze upon in-between dips. Two restaurants and two beach bars ensure you can stay all day and are packed with seaside snacks.

Cala Deià

The cliff village of Deià in northwestern Mallorca is known for its artistic locals and pretty pebble beach. A long, narrow road leads to the waters sheltered by woodlands admired for their natural beauty that includes two beachside chiringuito-style restaurants serving simple seafood dishes. It’s a rustic postcard-perfect setting. Though note, there are no facilities like sun loungers, so bring something comfy to rest on the rocks.

Es Caló des Moro

Nestled in a bay hugged by rocky cliffs, Es Caló des Moro is a small beach only 40 metres long and lined with powder-fine sand and crystal-clear waters that sparkle in the most beautiful shades of blue in the summer sun. The scenic location makes it protected and ideal for swimming, with access to the sands via a steep flight of stairs. This pristine natural setting brings beauty in spades yet also means no facilities, including restaurants, so pack a picnic.

Es Trenc

This unspoilt beach is now a national park in southern Mallorca near the holiday resort town of Colonia Sant Jordi. A two-kilometre-long stretch of fine white sands with shallow waters makes it one of the most popular beaches in Mallorca for families, as does its easy access to beachside cafés for a lunch break in-between swims. It is also the island’s most famous nudist beach – at designated sections only – but there is plenty of room for all.
