Irene Firenze Restaurant in Florence, Italy

Irene Firenze is Hotel Savoy’s newly revamped restaurant in the center of Florence. Named after the mother of Sir Rocco Forte of the famous hotel chain, including the hotel in piazza della Repubblica, this restaurant offers a more feminine and reverent take on classic Tuscan recipes. The stylish, contemporary bar is at the center of it all. Muted colors, retro-chic furniture, and backlit abstract panels and video installations by local artist Felice Limosani inspire a suave and inviting ambiance.

The menu was designed by chef Fulvio Pierangelini, best known for his two-Michelin starred restaurant Gambero Rosso in San Vincenzo. Fulvio worked closely with head chef  Giovanni Cosmai and the best local suppliers in Florence to create a menu based on the Tuscan classics with the freshest and most fragrant ingredients.

The menu offers something for everyone including pumpkin cream soup, lobster linguine, seafood grill cooked on Himalayan Salt Stone, and a variety of bruschette. The desserts are equally exquisite with a classic tiramisu on the menu as well as more unique items from a persimmon, chestnut and rosemary ice cream to a crispy ravioli with apple and cinnamon ice cream. 

Irene Firenze is open for lunch and dinner as well as afternoon tea where you can enjoy a smaller selection of the menu. You can also try one of their signature cocktails at the bar. In addition, the restaurant offers a Sunday lunch – a feast of meatballs made with vegetables, meat, fish, and delicious herbs. The service is impeccable and the terrace offers a unique experience – allowing you to dine in the middle of the street, amongst the crowd of tourists making their way through the city centre.
